VOTING DETAILS AND COMMENTS BY EACH MANAGER (LISTED BELOW)
RALPH POLUMBO VOTED:
1ST PLACE VOTE: Will Polumbo --- Hes built a strong team with a combination of shrewd drafting and appropriately risky trades. Hes added to league fun with by sharing statistical files and maintains a positive attitude even when weighing into the more passionate debates.
2ND PLACE VOTE: Kevin Martin --- Hasnt won a championship yet, but year in and out fields a strong contender. Knocked out of the playoffs this year, but definitely one of the best teams.
3RD PLACE VOTE: Split vote- (sorry) Byk and Phelps

DON SPRAGUE VOTED:
1st Place - Jason Dube - Jason has built his team over several seasons and has not only made short term trades but trades that will position him now and in the future.
2nd Place - Kevin had a great season and made trades and drafted well for this season and future seasons
3rd Place - Ralph Polumbo. Well, what more can you say except that he is at it again

WILL POLUMBO VOTED:
MANAGER OF THE YEAR VOTING
1. Ralph Polumbo - as much as it pains me. He had the best record in the league, and did it with a more patchwork team than ever. I think this was one of the better managing jobs he's done.
2. Jason Dube - he improved his team's record by almost 40 wins in one of the tougher divisions in the league, and has still kept his team positioned to be competitive well into the future.
3. David Kukafka - another hugh improvement in the win column. He wisely played to his team's strength (home run power), and ended up with nine guys with double digit home runs, along with three more who just missed at nine.

JIM PHELPS VOTED:
1. Will Polumbo. Will always has a competitive team due to his legendary drafting and shrewd trades. This year's team is no exception. He's carrying on the family tradition of always having a Polumbo in the World Series.
2. Jason Dube. Jason has done a great job of quickly turning the Fenway franchise around from 50 wins a couple of years ago to a powerhouse this year. Some great trading these last two years.
3. Jeff Wadkowski. Jeff always gets points in my book, no matter the Batmen record. We simply couldn't function without his disciplined attention to maintaining the computer files and stats. I greatly appreciate all his efforts.
Jim

RALPH POLUMBO -
1. Will Polumbo - Impressive run through the season and playoffs, knocking off, arguably the best team last year- Sin City. Great team and General Management in 2008. Only extreme luck and J Morneu's inability to get any clutch hits prevented a title. Also, highly and positively engaged in league affairs.
2. Kevin Martin - Has transformed a very bad expansion team into an annual contender to be reckoned with. Carried the league's seasonal adminstrative burden for years before Jeff W (successfully) has accepted that mantle.
3. Jason Kip - retooled in just one year to get back to contender status through agressive trading and smart drafting. Took risks to perform a quick fix and it worked!
Lots of honorable mentions: L Byk- made the playoffs in first year; J Phelps- big come back from slow start to get to semis; Jeff Wadkowski for his combination of excellent management and leadership keeping the season on track; L Steinberg for a 'world-class' get together; our Commish for sticking with the website and turning it back into a destination site for all of us; and Andy Rosenberg for declining to trade me T Hafner last year (just kidding Andy, and, of course, God knows what I offered!)

WILL POLUMBO -
1. Ralph Polumbo - I think this was actually one of his better years as a manager, with a Moylan Monks-like roster of platoons and role players.
2. Jason Kip - He built a powerhouse offense, had the best record in the regular season, and couldn't catch a break in the first round of the playoffs.
3. Jim Phelps - He came back from a tough start and stormed back to within one round of the finals.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
ANDY ROSENBERG -
1. Ralph Polumbo --Sigh. Wish it was just force of habit, but he keeps earning this damn award.
2. Will Polumbo -- Because, at the very least, second place deserves second place.
3. Jim Phelps --Made some very nice deals to improve and "freshen-up" his team, which seems like a perennial winner anyway.

DAVE "PEACH" TAYLOR -
The Crackers' ballot for Manager of the Year is as follows:
#1: A tie between new managers Tony Romano and Evan Steinberg for all the criteria Jeff F listed especially sportsmanship. Give each of these young men 5 points Mr Commissioner
#2: Jeff Wadkowski for all the work he devotes to the league computer game and league stats. And thank you Jeff for all the help you give me individually.
#3: Will Polumbo for almost upsetting the evil team in the World Series. Will you should've cheated. If you'd cheated Will you would've been my #1 pick.

My Manager of the Year Voting:

Second Choice: Jeff Wadkowski ... suffered through a lot of my needs this first year in the league.
Third Choice: Larry Steinberg ... put on a great shindig in Chicago

JASON DUBE -
1) Ralph Polumbo- Anytime you win the World Series you have to be a strong favorite to win this award. Ralph puts a highly competitive team out there every year, at any cost. Reminds me of the Yankees, maybe I might want to change my vote, just kidding.
2) Will Polumbo- Made it to the World Series. Beating some good teams along the way.
3) Jason Kip- Had the best regular season record. Has put together a team that will be highly competitive for a long time.

DON SPRAGUE -
Jeff,
Listed below are my votes:
#1 Ralph Polumbo ..Ralph did a wonderful job of making adjustments and taking his team through the playoffs to a Championship.
#2 Jason Kip ..Jason made some really great trades and worked the trade market harder than most managers in my opion to build his team for a 107 game win season.
#3 Kevin Martin Kevin made the right trades to allow his team to field the players for an outstanding 103 win season .a really fine job!
Don

Manager of the Year voting
1. Jason Kip: Nice job rebuilding a bad team
2. Will Polumbo: Just missed winning it all.
3. Ralph Polumbo: Won it all.

JIM PHELPS -
Sorry for the delay, Jeff.
Here's my vote:
1. Ralph Polumbo - I think two straight titles deserves a Manager of the Year award. But it's not just Ralph's managerial talent that needs to be recognized. Ralph has been instrumental in a lot of the improvements to the league over the last few years. This is a salute to his leadership as well.
2. Will Polumbo - It has to be in the genes. Will has skillfully built a powerhouse team and managed to nearly take the title. Will next year be the year, now that the 'Bonds-era' is over?
3. Larry Byk - Taking an expansion team to the playoffs in the first year is quite an accomplishment. Nice drafting and trading to so quickly build a competitive team.
Jim

NICK ROMANO --
ONCE AGAIN, NICK COMES UP WITH THE "CLASSIC" COMMENTS.....
Ralph polumbo....because like paying taxes, it is something I do every year. Beside the bobblehead was worth a vote by itself.
Will Polumbo, because a son should never beat a father
Larry steinberg.....for caring and putting on a wonderful get together in chicago.
Thanks

JEFF FLEISCHMAN VOTED -
1. WILL POLUMBO (MICHIGAN) -- Don't look over your shoulder, but here come another member of the Polumbo clan that is doing a lot of things to build his team and help make the League stronger. Some really good trades and positioning himself and his team to be a power next year and beyond.
2. RALPH POLUMBO (ALBANY) -- Some call him "The General" I think it's more like "The Master". Year after Year Ralph seems to get the most out his team and his players. Championships, Manager of the Year, Involvement, Leadership . He brings a long list of support and fun to our League. Our League would not be the same without Ralph.
3. JEFF WADKOWSKI (GOTHAM CITY) - For everything he does to help make our League run smoothly.... and he really does a lot!
