TRADE NOTES

12-19-04(AP) ..... Corpus Christi aquired Jeff Bagwell from the Wrigley Raiders today in exchange for
Dustan Mohr and recent acquisition, Matt Stairs. This is the second time that Corpus has dealt Stairs to
Wrigley. Stairs, in a written statement, said that he thanked Cudas management for such a short stay in
Corpus and was looking forward to the after-the-game brews with current Raiders owner, Don Sprague.

Jeff Bagwell, a firstbaseman, will take over the DH role for the Cudas since Mark Teixeira has taken a
strangelhold on first base in just one year, running both Tino Martinez and Hee Seop Choi out of town.

12-04-04(UPI) The Corpus Christi Cudas have sent fan favorite Tony Batista along with closer Lance
Carter to the Indianapolis Clowns for yet another left-handed starting pitcher in Kaz Ishii and utilty
infielder Juan Castro. Castro is looked upon as a short term thirdbase candidate and Ishii will help fill out
the rotation that already includes the lefty combination of Odalis and Oliver Perez (sorry Nick, no draft
picks were exchanged).

12-31-04 (Contra Costa Times) In a minor deal, Concord sends shortstop Alex S. Gonzalez
(Cubs-Mtl-SD) to Buster's for a fourth-round pick in 2006. The Grape hopes to continue to deal, and
will continue listening to offers.

 

1-5-05 (National Enquirer) In another minor deal, Concord sends Felix Rodriguez to the Corpus
Christi 'Cuda's for Wrigley's # 4 pick in the upcoming 2005 draft. Felix told the local press "I'm happy to
be closer to home".

2-9-05 (Chicago Free Press) FLASH FROM THE MILLER LITE ROOM AT WRIGLEY: Corpus Christi and the Wrigley Raiders have just completed a Trade that will send the Raiders 1st Round pick in 2006 Draft to the Cudas for the Minneapolis 2nd round pick in the 2005 GUSSOMO Draft. Cudas Managing owner Vern “Wiley” Coffman stated that Brokering Draft Picks especially #1’s have become part of the Cudas “Building for Future” strategy. Raiders Management felt they required this pick to continue their 2005 Re-Building Project after a dismal 2004 season. When asked what the pick will be used for, Raider General Manager Ron Santo said do you think we have a clue???

Side note, no Raider was named in the Jose Canseco upcoming book on the use of Steroids in Baseball. However, Raider Management will confess that most of our Boys use Miller Lite to get up for games as oppose to those ROIDS!! We have noticed that a Team in the East is trying to Dump one of those “Bad Boys” from their Roster!!
